City Water Systems

ARC’s city water systems are an alternative to recirculation systems when splash pads are in a controlled environment with limited usage. When using a city water system, water play activity selection should be elements with water conservation sprays to limit water consumption. City water systems are a cost effective approach for a splash pad project when water usage are not a concern and water reclamation is designed in the form of a retention pond for re-absorption or irrigation

City water systems are housed in either above ground enclosures or below ground vaults. Equipment systems consist of the following components:

• Control Panel
• Water Distribution Manifold
• Drain-to-Waste Outlets
• Activation Bollard

Control Panels are used for on / off operation of water play activities and power distribution to activation bollard, and motorized valves for water flow. Panels are programmable allowing to set hours of operation, set duration for spray activities, desired zoning or sequencing of spray features.
Water Distribution Manifolds are preplumbed water delivery systems from city water supply to water play activities. Manifolds consist of manual flow control valves to regulate flow to each play element and optional electric control valves when sequencing or zoning water play activities.
Drain-To-Waste Outlets collect water from sloped splash pad and evacuate water to storm sewer or retention pond.
Activation Bollard are a touch sensor devise that allows patrons to turn on the water spray features. The activation bollard is operated through the control panel and only operates during set hours of operation.
Above Ground Enclosures are a fiberglass reinforced plastic or metal structure with hinged access panels mounted on a concrete pad. Above ground equipment enclosures can house control panel, and water distribution manifold. Enclosure is vented to allow for air movement and lower screened drainage openings to allow for water drainage.

The Below Ground Enclosure is a watertight enclosure made of fiberglass reinforced plastic and is pre-plumbed and pre-wired with the control panel and water distribution manifold.  The Below Ground Enclosure includes a lockable lid and drainage outlet.
